About

In 1880, the English textile designer William Morris famously proclaimed; “have nothing in your houses that you do not know to be useful or believe to be beautiful.”

Based in Norfolk, England, we started Albert & Arthur in 2022 to do just that; create beautiful items for your everyday.

Our values

Timeless elegance – Every item we create goes through a lengthy thought process that involves multiple iterations and rounds of testing to ensure the design is 'just right'. It is said that form follows function, but we take the view they are of equal worth. And yes, it does take more time – but in the end it's worth it.

Our goal is to create an aesthetic that is timeless, immovable by fads or trends. Items that you will love in ten years as much as you do today.

In it for the long haul – All our products are manufactured to the highest possible standard. Our goal is to create items that are made to last, using only the best quality materials and craftsmanship.

We are confident you’ll love your items, but in the unlikely event of a manufacturing fault we will replace, refund or repair as required.

How we make matters – Our formula for creating high quality items is a simple one; work with the best materials and people. Whilst we favour working with local businesses, we do not limit ourselves in our outlook; if we cannot source something locally that meets our standard, we look elsewhere.

The materials we use are purposefully selected for their ability to age gracefully. Small chips, dents and other imperfections should not mean; 'time to get another'. And when if and when they do reach the end of the road, they can be re-used to create something new.
